Three children were transported to the hospital when a vehicle crashed Wednesday on the Southern State Parkway, police say.

It happened near Exit 15 heading westbound when an SUV crashed into the tree line.

Five children were passengers in the vehicle. Two were taken by ambulance to the hospital, and a third child was airlifted to the hospital. All had injuries not considered to be life-threatening.

Police say no criminality is suspected in the incident.
