Police: 2 injured in Shirley drive-by shooting

Two people were injured in a drive-by shooting at a house party Saturday night in Shirley, police say.

Two people were injured in a drive-by shooting at a house party Saturday night in Shirley, police say.
It happened at a home on West Parkview Drive around 11:30 pm. Police say a large group was attending a party there, with people on the home's front lawn and in the roadway. Shots were fired in the direction of the group from a passing car, police say.
A 41-year-old Mastic Beach woman was shot in the leg, and a 32-year-old Coram man was shot in the foot. They were both hospitalized with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Police say the vehicle was described as a newer model, light-colored, four-door Nissan sedan.
