A teen has been hospitalized after nearly drowning in Central Islip.
Police were called to Hawthorne Avenue just after midnight.
News 12 Long Island has learned a group of teens jumped a fence to access the apartment complex pool. The pool was closed at the time.
The 16-year-old boy jumped into the deep end of the pool, but apparently couldn't swim, authorities say.
He was pulled from the water early this morning and is in serious condition.
