Police: 14-year-old arrested, charged with felonies for Suffern High School bomb hoax

A 14-year-old was arrested and charged for reporting a false bomb threat at a Rockland County high school last year, according to police.

A 14-year-old was arrested and charged for reporting a false bomb threat at a Rockland County high school last year, according to police.
Ramapo Police said someone reported a bomb threat at Suffern High School on September 21, 2023.
The students were evacuated as several law enforcement agencies responded.
The students were allowed back into the school after it was determined to be a hoax.
The FBI and Suffern and Ramapo police did a four-month investigation to find out who made the report.
The teen was arrested on Monday and charged with making a terroristic threat and falsely reporting an incident, which are both felonies.
The minor was released and is due back in Rockland County Family Court.
