11h agoA 13-year-old boy is in serious condition after being struck by a car Friday in East Meadow, police say.
Nassau County police say the incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Newbridge Road and Seventh Avenue.
The teenager was trying to cross the street when police say he was hit by a Toyota being driven by an 18-year-old man.
The boy suffered reportedly suffered multiple trauma injuries and was taken to the hospital.
The driver remained on the scene.
