One person was injured in a shooting on a street in Wyandanch, Suffolk police say.

Police say the call came in just after 12 p.m. for a shooting on N. 16th Street.

Neighbors say they expect criminal activity to happen in the area. They say there is a lot of crime in the area.

Police say a 29-year-old man was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not life threatening.
