A head-on crash Friday in Aquebogue left one man dead and another with serious injuries, Riverhead police say.

A driver on Main Road crashed directly into a vehicle driven by 67-year-old Matthew Schramm, of Huntington Station, at around noon.

Police say both men were seriously injured when first responders arrived at the scene.

Schramm later died at a hospital, according to authorities.
