Police: 1 man killed, 1 injured in shooting outside Wyandanch house party

Suffolk police say one man was killed and another was injured in a shooting outside of a Wyandanch house party early Sunday morning. 
It happened shortly after 2 a.m. in front of 72 Patton Ave. in Wyandanch.
Investigators say two men were leaving the party when they were shot in the street. They say 26-year-old Mark Birthwright Jr., of Bay Shore, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other man was hospitalized with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. His identity wasn't released.
