A crash in West Babylon Sunday afternoon left one man dead and another seriously hurt.

News 12 is told that a 911 call came in around 2 p.m.

Police say that they responded to Wellwood Avenue in front of Saint Charles Resurrection Cemeteries.

They say the driver of a Chevy Trailblazer lost control, crashed through a fence and flipped several times.

Both passengers inside were thrown from the car.

Police say 47-year-old Dennis Markey was killed in the crash, and 35-year-old Marcus Pitts had to be airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.
