A Medford man was arrested after a hit-and-run that started with a fight in Sayville.
The incident happened at the Sayville Motor Lodge just before 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Police say the incident started when Brian Clark got into a fight and punched a man in the face.
They say Clark then got into his car and tried to run over the other man with his car.
Police say he crashed into the building, causing damage to a bench and the front door of the lodge, and hit another car as he tried to get away.
The driver of the other car says she was hit so hard that her car went into a nearby fence.
Officials say the suspect continued on before jumping out of his car and running away. Police caught up to Clark and arrested him a short time later.
He is now facing several charges, including DWI and assault.
