A local organization took a freezing dive to bring awareness to mental health issues among veterans.
Today was Operation VEST's first 22-Degree Run and Plunge.
Participants took a brisk 2.2-mile run or walk in Brightwaters. Then they took a polar plunge into the Great South Bay at Walker Beach.
Operation VEST aims to spread awareness and remove the stigma about mental health within veterans.
