(AP) - The New York Yankees flopped in their first gameat the new $1.5 billion Yankee Stadium, getting blown out by theCleveland Indians 10-2.
Jhonny Peralta broke a seventh-inning tie Thursday with atwo-run double off Jose Veras, and Grady Sizemore hit a grand slaminto the right-field seats off Damaso Marte. Victor Martinez's solohomer capped the nine-run burst.
CC Sabathia, pitching in pinstripes for the first time sincesigning a $161 million, seven-year contract, allowed an RBI doubleto Kelly Shoppach in the fourth. But Jorge Posada tied the score aninning later with a home run.
Cliff Lee (1-2) allowed one run and seven hits in six innings ina matchup of the last two AL Cy Young Award winners.
