(04/25/07) HAUPPAUGE (AP) - A Long Island man has been identified as one of two people who died Sunday when their twin-engine plane crashed in Windham, Connecticut. Connecticut authorities identified the victim as 45-year-old Ronald Holtzman, of Hauppague. He and another occupant of the plane - who has not yet been identified - were pronounced dead at the scene. Their Piper Apache PA-23 out of Brookhaven Airport in Shirley crashed and burned on approach to Windham Airport. Officials from the Federal Aviation Administration and Connecticut State Police said the plane was making an east-to-west approach to Windham Airport when it veered to the left and crashed in a wooded area just south of the airport at 3:43 p.m. Sunday. The cause of the crash has not been determined.
