Pet alligator turned in to Suffolk SPCA

Police say another alligator has been turned in to officials in Suffolk County. The 3-foot long alligator was turned into the Suffolk County SPCA today, according to officials. News 12 Long Island

Police say another alligator has been turned in to officials in Suffolk County.
The 3-foot long alligator was turned into the Suffolk County SPCA today, according to officials.
News 12 Long Island has learned a Shirley resident had it as a pet, before deciding to hand it over.
The SPCA says the alligator was so nasty and dangerous it could hardly be handled.
In the past few years, the Suffolk SPCA tells News 12 it has recovered over two-dozen alligators.
