According to police, Mitchell Leventhal was walking in the roadway of Route 112, north of Jefferson Avenue, when he was hit by a car headed north.

seriously injured in a crash in Port Jefferson.
The incident happened just
after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
According to police, Mitchell
Leventhal was walking in the roadway of Route 112, north of Jefferson Avenue,
when he was hit by a car headed north.
The 64-year-old was taken to
the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver suffered minor
injuries.
Anyone with information is
asked to contact police.
