Pedestrian struck on Sunrise Highway at East Chestnut Street in Massapequa
Police say an unidentified man remains in the hospital after being hit by an SUV near the Sunrise Mall yesterday. Police say the 42-year-old was hit near East Chestnut Street across from the mall.

Police say an unidentified man remains in the hospital after being hit by an SUV near the Sunrise Mall yesterday.
Police say the 42-year-old was hit near East Chestnut Street across from the mall.
According to police, the unidentified man suffered a serious head injury and is in guarded condition.
Eastbound Sunrise Highway was closed for more than two hours during the evening rush.
There are no charges against the driver at this time.
