Police say a Bay Shore man has been killed trying to cross a street in Selden.
Police say a Coram man was operating a vehicle westbound on Middle Country Road around 12:45 a.m. when his vehicle struck the pedestrian who was in the right lane of the road.
The victim, identified by police as Bernardo Benjamin Briones Bautista, 27, of Bay Shore, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the driver stayed on the scene and is not facing any charges.
