Police say a woman was hit by a car in Merrick.
The incident happened at Merrick Avenue and Sunrise Highway just before 1 a.m.
The unidentified woman was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
News 12 has been told the driver stayed at the scene and is not facing charges.
