The group Paws of War is collecting donations in Stony Brook.
The non-profit spent Sunday afternoon at Staples collecting various supplies like canned dog food, garbage bags, pet shampoo and more.
Paws of War trains and then places shelter dogs with US military veterans that suffer from the emotional effects of war.
Donations will be accepted through the rest of the week.
