In this week's Paws & Pals, the Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter presented three dogs looking for their 'furever' homes.
Athena is a senior girl. She is a Pit Bull mix. She was in a home that loved her, but sadly her owner passed away, and has been at the shelter for the past 4 years. Athena loves all people she meets but she wants to be the only pet in the home. Athena may be a senior, but you would never know it! She is quite the athlete. This girl lives to chase a tennis ball and never seems to get tired of it. She’ll even trade you kisses for the ball!
Nellie is a happy Pit Bull mix. She is 5 years old, and a laid back, housebroken, medium energy dog that enjoys going for long walks on the trails, and spending time in the sunshine. She especially loves her squeaky toys! This beautiful girl enjoys meeting new people and is great with kids. Nellie would make a great family pet as the only dog in the house. She has a lot of love to give.
Diamond is a 2.5-year-old Rottweiler/Hound mix rescued from Texas. Diamond is a goofy, playful, and sweet girl that loves to snuggle up for a petting session. Diamond is happy to meet new people but does not seem to get along with other dogs. She needs a little bit of training with leash walking and commands, but is eager to learn.
