Parents attended a board meeting following the removal of a Herricks teacher from the classroom.
According to parents, it was a Herricks Middle School band teacher that was removed.  The superintendent sent a letter to parents saying, “there is a video circulating that allegedly features one of the teachers and its contents are ‘disturbing’."
At Thursday’s board meeting, parents asked how the school plans to overcome the “loss of trust.”  One mom said “It was always my dream to have him be in the jazz band. For this to happen now is heartbreaking and shocking."
The Nassau DA’s office has joined in on the investigation.
