Northport High School graduate Mikey Brannigan, 19, won the gold medal in the 1,500 meter race.
Branningan blew away the competition, running the mile in three minutes and 51 seconds.
Brannigan entered the running as the regional world champion.
As News 12 has reported, Brannigan has autism.
