Police have arrested a driver and passenger after they say the pair intentionally ran over the passenger's husband.
The alleged incident took place at Rosevale Avenue and Lakeview Court in Ronkonkoma. Police say the driver, 20-year-old Paige Lester, intentionally drove her 2007 Hyundai onto the sidewalk and hit the victim, Anthony Corso.
When police arrived on the scene, they learned Corso was the husband of the vehicle's passenger, 34-year-old Christina Latorre.
Corso was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was treated for a broken collar bone, broken ribs and a head laceration.
Police also say Lester drove the car under the influence of drugs. In addition to assault, driving under the influence and resisting arrest charges, she was charged with drug possession for allegedly having cocaine.
Latorre was charged with second-degree assault.
