Owner of East Hampton Star arraigned for failure to obtain proper permits

The owner of an East End newspaper was arraigned Monday for failure to obtain permits for structures, including a shed, on his East Hampton property.
David Rattray has written editorials in the East Hampton Star on the failures of code enforcement in the town, and is now accused of two violations at his Cranberry Hole Road home.
Rattray pleaded not guilty and is due back in court in May.
