A dedication ceremony was held this morning for Nassau County Police Officer Joseph Olivieri, who was killed on the Long Island Expressway in 2012.

The bridge overpass on New Hyde Park Road in Manhasset was renamed for the father of two.

Olivieri was investigating an accident when he was struck and killed by a vehicle. The driver James Ryan was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide.

Olivieri was a 13-year veteran of the Nassau County Police Department.
