'Taking away our home.' School community fights to keep Our Lady of Mercy Academy open

Our Lady of Mercy Academy is shutting its doors for good in June, citing low enrollment. Here's what the school community is doing to try and save the academy.

Students and parents are hoping to save their Syosset school that is planning to close.
Our Lady of Mercy Academy is shutting its doors for good in June.
School officials say it is because of declining enrollment, saying there are only 37 students in this year's freshman class.
Junior Grace Werner set up a GoFundMe page, which has over $10,000 so far.
"Our school is insanely tightknit and we are all friends with everybody and there isn't a single person that nobody likes," Werner says. "And we are like a family - this is our home, so they are essentially taking away our home."
Werner's goal is to raise $3 million keep the school open.
