From Disney princess to diaper duty, actress and singer Hilary Duff discusses her new role on and off the screen with News 12's Elisa DiStefano.

DiStefano met up with Duff at a poolside party in Sag Harbor. Duff says it was one of the first big times she was away not only from husband and former Islander Mike Comrie, but also her 17-month-old son Luca.

"I'm been a stay-at-home mom for over a year now and I think I'm ready to spread my wings a bit," Duff says.

Duff says she hopes her good work ethic rubs off on her son.

Next up for the star, a new movie and new music. She just wrapped up production of the comedy "Flock of Dudes," which will hit theaters next year.
