Officials are investigating a fire on the Wyandanch High School campus that they say may have been set intentionally.
Crews battled the blaze at around 8 a.m. Thursday, which broke out in a cement equipment shed behind the bleachers. All of the track and football equipment inside was destroyed.
Police say they are investigating the fire as possible arson. A spokesperson for the district says that the loss of the equipment will not affect any upcoming games or events.
This is the latest in a string of incidents at the high school. Last Saturday, police say a West Babylon man stabbed two teens during a homecoming game.
Earlier in the week, five football players were suspended from classes after being caught on school security video allegedly involved in bullying pranks in the hallways of the high school.
