Nassau County police responded to a "police incident" on Old Country Road Tuesday afternoon, officials confirm.
It happened at 4:25 p.m. Police did not confirm any other details, but News 12 crews found the side parking lot of a Holiday Inn in Carle Place blocked off with caution tape.
Investigators were also on scene at the same hotel.
Chris Reusch lives nearby in Carle Place. He said he heard sirens for hours Tuesday afternoon and was curious why.
"Just constant sirens back and forth," he said. "For at least I would say at least an hour, hour and a half maybe."
Reusch said he thought it was just a car accident at first, until he walked by the hotel and saw the police presence.
