Officials say a West Haverstraw man was seen beating a puppy in a mall parking lot in Paramus, New Jersey.
Witnesses told police they saw the man punched, kicked, and throw the dog into a car at the Garden State Plaza.
Officials say security footage shows Joseph Caraccia abusing the 8-month-old Stormy on Oct. 3.
News 12 is told that Caraccia is not the owner of Stormy. The rightful owner asked Caraccia to watch over the dog, which was then brought back home later that night.
Authorities say, Stormy’s owner did not know about the incident and was asked to get the dog evaluated by a vet.
Joseph Caraccia is now facing charges for animal abuse.
