The city of Long Beach expects about 30,000 people to attend this weekend's Pride Festival.
Officials are outlining the parade route and entertainment for the festival on the beach, which begins Friday.
"This will be the largest Long Island Pride ever and the largest Pride on the Beach in the entire country," says David Kilmnick, of the LGBT Network.
Altogether, there will be 30 events during the three-day festival, including a memorial "paddle out" to mark one year since the attack at Pulse nightclub in Orlando.
City officials say there will be dedicated parking areas with shuttle bus service to City Hall from several locations. That includes Long Beach middle and high schools and the town park at Point Lookout.
Two additional weekend Long Island Rail Road trains have also been added for the event.
Long Beach police say they will have increased patrols throughout the city during the festival.
