Officials say a lithium-ion battery caused a fire in the backyard of a home in East Meadow.
The fire broke out Tuesday afternoon in a shed at a home on Erma Drive.
News 12 has been told dozens of firefighters responded and had the flames under control within 30 minutes.
Officials say there were several propane barbecue tanks that exploded during the fire.
No one was injured.
