A lightning strike at an animal rescue in Huntington will cost $30,000 to repair, officials say.
Little Shelter officials say lightning struck a tree and the surge from the bolt caused a memorial fountain nearby to explode.
The electrical wiring in the cattery was also damaged, destroying its air conditioning unit.
No animals were hurt.
The shelter is asking for donations to help with repairs.
