Officials: Holbrook home destroyed in fire; woman hospitalized

A Mother's Day fire at a home in Holbrook sent one woman to the hospital, fire officials say.
Emergency crews were called just at 11 a.m. to 263 Blue Point Road West and soon became a seven-department mutual aid event.
A female occupant was transported to Stony Brook Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Holbrook Fire Chief David Monthie.
As a standard practice, the Suffolk Arson Squad will investigate the scene. It’s not yet known was sparked the flames.
