According to the MTA, an investigation is underway after stickers with hateful messages were found at the Valley Stream LIRR station.
The agency says the stickers were found and immediately removed by MTA police officers.
A website found on some of the stickers was identified as a "white supremacist site" by the Anti-Defamation League, according to legislative officials. One sticker reads, "Nationalism could have prevented this."
Nassau County Leg. Carrie Solages told News 12 they were outraged to learn about the stickers, especially, "In light of recent FBI reports highlighting the increasing threat of white supremacist domestic terrorism."
In a statement to News 12, the MTA says, "Hate has no place in our transit system" and that it is investigating how the stickers were posted.
