A firefighter was injured battling a large fire at a Fort Lee auto shop, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

The fire was reported just before 4:30 p.m. at the shop located at 1440 Bergen Blvd.

Photos and videos sent to News 12 New Jersey showed very large plumes of black smoke billowing for miles coming from the area while crews fought the fire.

The prosecutor’s office says that a firefighter suffered an injury that was not life-threatening during the effort.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was not immediately released.
