A teenager was struck by a car while riding his bike Friday in Massapequa Park, officials say.

The incident happened on Sunrise Highway at around 6 p.m.

All eastbound lanes were shut down from Lake Shore Boulevard to Park Boulevard, but have since reopened.

The 15-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car who hit the teenager remained at the scene.
