Officials: 84-year-old pilot escapes injury after plane's nose gear collapses at Mattituck Airport

An 84-year-old pilot emerged unscathed Monday after his plane's nose gear collapsed not long after the aircraft landed.
Southold Town police say the single-engine Cessna 150 was found damaged and in the grass at Mattituck Airport around 4 p.m.
The pilot, Bernard Stepnoski, was the only person on board.
