Several pets were rescued during a house fire in West Islip Sunday evening, officials say.
Officials say the incident happened on Hunter Avenue when the second floor of the home was fully engulfed in flames.
No one was home at the time, but three dogs and two cats had to be rescued.
News 12 is told the dogs were taken to a veterinarian for treatment, and the cats were not hurt.
There is no word on what caused the fire.
