One person died in a Valley Stream house fire that broke out on Tuesday, according to a fire official.
The fire broke out shortly before 11:30 a.m. on 34 Keller St.
Officials say one unidentified male victim died in the fire.
They say one firefighter suffered a head injury and was transported to Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital.
It took dozens of firefighters and five departments to get the fire under control within an hour.
Officials say there was heavy damage to the structure.
Investigators are working to still working to determine the cause of the fire.
