President Obama will deliver a prime time address tonight on immigration reform.
Obama is expected to announce the executive actions he'll take to shield an estimated five million immigrants from deportation.
The move includes expanding the president's two-year program to protect young immigrants from deportation and protect the parents and spouses of U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
Republicans say the president doesn't have the legal authority to do that.
Obama would need Congress' approval to grant illegal immigrants full citizenship.
News 12 Long Island will carry the address live tonight at 8 p.m.
