The New York State Board of Regents is meeting virtually for the first time since Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced schools can reopen.
A task force made up of parents, school officials, students and teachers will be on the call.
The call comes as Gov. Cuomo warns some Long Island school districts may not be able to reopen.
Gov. Cuomo says 27 districts across Nassau and Suffolk failed to submit plans for in school learning by the July 31 deadline. At least 15 of those 27 districts say their plans were submitted on time. Many of them say they have submission receipts to prove it.
