Major changes were announced today in the wake of the Eric Garner decision.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and NYPD Commissioner William Bratton announced plans to retrain police officers.
Mayor de Blasio said the retraining of almost 22,000 officers will have an impact on millions of people. He says every interaction between police and civilians will be different.
One focal point -- changing the way officers talk and listen to the people.
Commissioner Bratton says the officers will undergo a three-day retraining course.
