NYPD Chief of Internal Affairs Miguel Iglesias relieved of command
NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch says the department's Chief of Internal Affairs Miguel Iglesias has been relieved of his command.
Tisch made the announcement Saturday night on X, formerly Twitter.
The commissioner named Edward A. Thompson as interim director.
Earlier in the day, Tisch said she accepted the resignation of Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey. The resignation was submitted amid sexual misconduct allegations against Maddrey.
