A 47-year-old man was fatally struck during a hit-and-run Saturday in Bushwick, according to police.

Witnesses said that a private sanitation truck dragged the victim several feet after striking him and then left the scene. Police would only say the man was struck by a vehicle.

Authorities say it happened around 3:45 a.m. on Broadway and Suydam streets.

A 911 call reporting the incident led officers to find the unconscious victim lying on the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made yet.
