Police are asking for the public’s help to find three men in connection to multiple robberies in the last two weeks in the Bronx.
News 12 was told that in all three robberies, the suspects approached the victim from behind when they were trying to get into their home. The suspects then repeatedly punched each victim in the face before robbing them.
Each victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The robberies took place from Sept. 27 to Sept. 29.
The NYPD says surveillance video from Sept. 27 shows a 48-year-old man approach an apartment building when one of the suspects tackles him from behind. One of the suspects displays a phone and questions the victim.
The victim then points to his right and tries to escape the ambush. Police say the suspects stole the victim’s driver's license and cellphone.
The suspects were last seen fleeing eastbound on Castle Hill Avenue on Sept. 29 after attacking and stealing from a 67-year-old man near Turnbull Avenue.
Police say the suspects stole $1,000 in one of their attacks.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
