NYPD: 14-year-old girl charged with robbing, assaulting taxi driver in Bergen Beach

Authorities say the girl attacked the taxi driver Friday night in the parking lot of the Bank of America on Ralph Avenue.

A teenage girl is facing charges in the violent robbery of taxi driver in Bergen Beach, according to police.

Authorities say the 14-year-old attacked the taxi driver Friday night in the parking lot of the Bank of America on Ralph Avenue.

The 26-year-old victim initially refused to give the girl a ride, stating that she felt unsafe.

Police say that’s when the teen punched her, put her arm around her neck, stole her bag and fled with $300.

The teen was later apprehended and charged with robbery.

The victim was not seriously hurt, according to authorities.
