Police say a double shooting near a playground in Brownsville left one man dead and put another in the hospital.

They say it happened just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday outside of 160 Glenmore Ave.

Sources close to the investigation say the shooting happened at an outdoor party.

When police arrived, they said they saw a 41-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to the leg and a 42-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the stomach. They say both were taken to the hospital where the 42-year-old later died and the 41-year-old is still recovering.
