Commuters were met with a higher price this morning to travel on the NYC Ferry.

Ticket prices went up to $4.50 per ride. It had been $4.

Ticket kiosks were already updated Monday to reflect the new price at the Soundview Ferry stop.

A bundle of 10 tickets now costs $29, putting the price for each ticket just under $3.00.

High school students are receiving a reduced fare through the Student Discount Program. There is also a discount program for seniors, low-income riders and those with disabilities for $1.45.

Riders told News 12 that they like the ferry for their commutes but hope officials don't get too out of hand with the price increases.
