NYAG: New health care bill ‘unconstitutional’
The new health care bill that passed in the House may face a lawsuit in New York if it passes without major changes.
New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says, “If they pass the bill in the form the house passed it, it is unconstitutional. It includes an unconstitutional attack on women's right to reproductive health services, including abortion. It's drafted in a way that really in a tricky way tries to wipe out Planned Parenthood.”
As News 12 reported, House Republicans passed the bill with a razor-thin margin on Thursday.
The legislation is expected to face pushback in the Senate.
